SISTERHOOD of the SEPHARDIC TEMPLE

We would love to expand our Sisterhood membership as we continue our tradition of meetings, book talks, and outings. We've been to Gracie Mansion, the Eldridge Street Synagogue, as well as the Jewish Museum and the Museum of Modern Art. Two of our favorite activities are our paid-up luncheon at Cho-Sen Island and our yearly Sisterhood Card Party with a fabulous luncheon catered by Genadeen here at our beautiful Sephardic Temple. Recently we had two book talk luncheons at the Temple with authors Jamie Bernstein who wrote "Famous Father Girl" about her father Leonard Bernstein, and Jill Santopolo who wrote "More Than Words" and "The Light We Lost". A new book talk luncheon is being planned where we hope to welcome author Esther Amini who will discuss her book "Concealed: Memoir of a Jewish Iranian Daughter Caught Between the Chador and America". This event will also be followed by a luncheon.

We always invite you to try a meeting or activity!

Hope to see you soon,

Susan Bahaloul

Sephardic Temple Sisterhood Luncheon

On Thursday, December 29, sixteen members of our Sisterhood joined together at Cho-Sen Island in Lawrence for a luncheon and meeting. It was so wonderful to be able to see each other after time away due to COVID. A good time was had by all and the food was delicious!

We are planning an additional luncheon in the spring to accommodate those who are spending the colder months in sunny locales.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Wishing you and your families a happy and healthy New Year!

Warm regards,
Susan Bahaloul
